Woodsville Terminal Railway

I am still building this page.

My layout features a freelance (fictional) railroad called the Woodsville Terminal Railway Corporation. This name actually comes from an earlier Mike Confalone layout prior to his Allagash (and successor Androscoggin & Western Maine Railway). This is a little shortline in Central Vermont that ran from Woodsville NH on the Connecticut River up to Morrisville VT to interchange with the Lamoille Valley. It primary brings woodchip cars that originate online and are destined to the paper mills served by the Maine Central.

I have a few woodchip hoppers painted up the WTRC that I purchased from Perkins Road Depot at the Springfield shows over the years. I also have a 50' boxcar in orange that I painted and declared using Highball Graphics set FL-1.

On my layout I operate a single WTRC train from Sheldon Junction up to interchange with the Lamoille Valley at Morrisville. The train is a turn and heads back to Sheldon Jct. and then into staging with empty cars. Right now it utilizes some borrowed power but I have a D&H RS32 project underway that would be a cool secondhand or borrowed power for this little line.
