Prototype Railroads of the Northeast Kingdom

My layout is prototype based around the Canadian Pacific's St. Johnsbury yard in Vermont, and features the connecting rail lines of the Maine Central Railroad and Lamoille Valley Railway Company that operated into the yard. From the yard, the the layout features the LVRC running westbound across Vermont to a Central Vermont interchange, and the MEC running eastbound through the White Mountains of New Hampshire to Portland Maine.

The CP ran north from St. Johnsbury to Newport Vermont, and south along the Connecticut River into Massachusetts to the yard in East Deerfield. Adding interest the CP trains would often feature run through Boston & Maine power from East Deerfield.

Along with this the layout also features the Boston & Maine in New Hampshire, and the North Stratford Railway in New Hampshire and Vermont.

To understand more about each of these railroads as they were in the Northeast Kingdom region of northern Vermont and neighboring New Hampshire, explore each of the web pages dedicated to each railroad below.

I also have some web pages for specific prototype locations that are depicted on my layout. I attempt to capture the look and feel of these areas while scaling down the overall scenes to fit my available space.
